Prayer Tree Ministry at Salem
Members of the congregation agree to include in their prayers the names of those people and concerns for whom intercession has been requested. Information is sent via e-mail to members.
The life of our Salem Family is filled with prayer in many forms. The PrayerTree was started by Miss Elizabeth Heinmuller some time ago, as a way to pray for those who were ill or needed prayer for any reason. It was done by telephone, and worked well for many years. After Miss Elizabeth died, other people took over the task of coordinator, and the PrayerTree grew. Today, of course, we use computers, but membership keeps growing and our PrayerTree is a powerful force for healing and comfort.
Some of the members are interested in expanding their prayer life by finding a Prayer Partner, or gathering in small groups now and then. We would continue our Prayertree as is; and this would be an additional activity for those who wish to participate.
If you are interested in an opportunity to gather in a group to pray together, or in finding a Prayer Partner (you pray for each other as well as those who make requests) please notify me at PrayerTree@salem-catonsville.org. If there is enough interest, we will arrange a gathering and notify you. Thank you for your prayers and for being a member of Salem's PrayerTree!
