Our mission: Through the medium of drama, in service to the congregation and community, Salem Players will endeavor to both entertain and explore the human condition in celebration and contemplation of God’s grace. In its activities, Salem Players will use the benefits of common discipline and intergenerational fellowship as a channel for those whose artistic talent, varied skills, and good nature draws them to join in the creative challenge and redeeming joy of a theatrical production.

Call for Directors
The Salem Players are seeking proposals from directors for our Spring 2025 production. Our expected production dates are in May. We typically run evening productions on Fridays and Saturdays, with matinees on Sundays.
We are an all-volunteer organization, looking for a family-friendly musical for a multi-generational cast.
We have an approximately 100-seat theater. We have experienced back-stage teams for stage management, production, sound and light production, and music.
Please email your proposal with the following information to SalemPlayers@Salem-Catonsville.org by no later than September 16, 2024.

- Brief description of your theater experience
- Name of play, and who owns the rights
- Description of cast
- Set requirements
We will select from among the proposals 3-5 directors to pitch the proposal to the Play Selection Committee.
Salem Players is a fellowship ministry of the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Catonsville. We are a non-Equity, unpaid theater group.
