Since 1997, the Salem Stitchcrafters have met most every Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon in the church’s Wittenburg Room.
Open to the community, the group actively supports a number of charitable projects: Christmas boxes for the seafarers’ “Christmas at Sea,” newborn hats for local hospitals, lap robes for local nursing homes, sweaters for Lutheran World Relief layette kits, chemo hats and hats for homeless shelters. The Stitchcrafters also contribute to the Salem Marketplace, which supports local, national and international charities.
Additionally, members enjoy the fellowship of others who enjoy knitting, crocheting, and other needlework endeavors.
